Of course, for sunny days we need adequate protection from the sun and quest rewards like Stefana's Fruit Hat and Horned Helm will help repel the hot sun off your head and eyes. Horn-Rimmed Glasses will add to your chillin out cool looks.
As for activities, you can build Sand Castles, play Mini-Games, hangout with your beach monster pet and drink Summer Wine to your heart's content!
So let's all go to the Beach PARTY!!!
Upon login, a new quest shall be listed on your quest log if your level is 50 and above.
QHP Note: Some players claim the Beach Party quest shows up on the logs at level 48 but we have yet to test if this is accurate so we are sticking with level 50 since the quest lists it as so.
Head over to Velika at the public square past the Collegium Arcane and look for Shurimon (the festival guide). He's easy to spot on a colorful magic carpet.
Other Festival Guides can also be found in the cities of Kaiator and Allemantheia.
Choose Beach Party (Dragonturtle Beach) and you'll be teleported to the beach!
QHP Note: If you're level 50+ or if you're tough enough to run past the monsters on the way to the beach party location, you can go to Castanica and run towards the beach on Boan Strand. Or if you've been there before you can use Teleport Master service in Castanica.
◇◆ BEACH PARTY! ◆◇
Find the Beach Party area and Elesa at the West Beach Tavern along the beach of Boan Strand.
Talk to Elesa to complete "Life's a Beach" quest and start "Would you Like to Play a Game" quest. She will then ask you to go to Langon.
QHP Note: "Would you Like to Play a Game" is a chain quest needed to be finished once to enable the daily quests on the Beach Party.
Find Langon at the beach infront of the tavern. He will ask for sand and for you to make 3 sand castles.
QHP Note: It would be a good idea to start collecting 50 Construction Sand to finish the 3 Beach Party Achievements. Check Achievements list below.
Collect Construction Sand from Sand piles found through out the beachfront.
Use the Construction Sand to create a sand castle.
You can create three kinds of sand castles: a small bucket shaped sand castle, a medium sand castle and a large pro sand castle.
Occasionally you might find a Destruction Sand when you gather sand piles. Using this item will summon a sand golem named Pebbles.
Summoning Pebbles will grant Festival Achievement "Call Me Sandy".
After creating 3 sand castles return to Langon then go to the next quest location. Wahmel's Watermelon Patch.
Wahmel will introduce the mini-game watermelon bashing. Talk to Wahmel to participate in a round of melon bashing.
QHP Note: This mini-game can be played even without the quest so low level players can also participate and receive Greater Bound Charms and Geren's Lunch Hour Box. Check Mini-Game list below.
After playing the game, Wahmel will tell you to go to Chelton's Splash Cannon Battery.
Chelton will introduce a mini-game with water cannons. Talk to Chelton to participate.
QHP Note: This is also a mini-game that can be played without the quest to collect the Horn Statues Check Mini-Game list below.
After the game Chelton will ask you to go to Kerozen Isle to find Stefanna.
Stefanna will be standing on the beach with 2 quests, the event quest and her daily quest. Choose to continue with the event quest and she will tell you to go see Dolme.
QHP Note: You can also take up her daily quest now if you choose. Check Daily Quest list below.
You can find Dolme inside a hut he will ask you to get 1 Warthog Molar from a Baykun Warthog.
Get the Warthog Molar then return to Dolme. He will then create a Popori Statue out of the horn and ask you to take it to Ramsay at the East Beach Tavern.
Finally talk to Ramsay to deliver the Popori Statue and complete the "Would you Like to Play a Game" quest.
Ramsay will then have a repeatable quest "Ramsay's New Hobby". She will then accept 1 Horn Statue in exchange for 1 Summer Wine and 100, 000 XP
QHP Note: Horn Statues are mini-game rewards for Rank 2 and 3 players.
Ramsay also sells Bomb Casing and Beach Party Teleport Scroll.
Create Wine Bombs by combining 1 Summer Wine + 1 Bomb Casing.
Daily Quests will now be active on the event area!
■ Daily Quests ■
♦ Stefanna's Daily Quest ♦
Talk to Stefanna and help her deliver tanning oil to her clients on the beach.
Click "I'll take care of it." button to get the location of the client.
Return to Stefanna to recieve Stefanna's Fruit Hat and 1,000,000 XP
Stefanna's Fruit hat will be a head costume equipment on the Costuming tab.
QHP Note: Wearing Stefanna's Fruit Hat will override any headgear accessory on the Equipment tab.
♦ Dolme's Daily Quest ♦
Talk to Dolme and hunt for 2 Arachnen Horns from Arachnen Warriors on Kerozen Isle.
Return to Dolme to recieve Horned Helm and 1,000,000 XP
Horned helm will be a head accessory on Equipment tab
♦ Langon's Daily Quest ♦
Talk to Langon and build 3 sand castles for him.
♦ Wahmel's Daily Quest ♦
Talk to Wahmel and play a game of Blind Melon Bash.
Return to Wahmel for Horn-Rimmed Glasses, 4 Seashells and 1,000,000 XP
Horned-Rimmed Glasses will be a face costume on the Costuming tab.
♦ Chelton's Daily Quest ♦
Talk to Chelton and play Splash Cannon Mini-Game
Return to Chelton to recieve Care and Use of Zero pet book, 4 Seashells and 1,000,000 XP
QHP Note: Care and Use of Zero pet monster book does not expire if it is left unused. Monster timer will stay frozen for 1 day.
◆ Mini-Games ◆
♦ Blind Melon Bash Mini-Game ♦
Try to hit as many watermelons as you can in 60 seconds while partially blindfolded.
Watermelons shall be scattered around the area along with barrels. And will taunt you as you frantically try to find them. Barrels will also imitate the watermelons in an attempt to confuse you.
You get 40 points for every watermelon bashed. No points acquired or deducted for breaking barrels.
QHP Note: Prizes for Blind Melon Bash and Splash Cannon are the same. Check Mini-Game Ranking and Rewards list.
♦ Splash Cannon Mini-Game ♦
Hit as much Red monsters as you can using the Splash Cannon in 60 seconds.
Red and Blue monsters will be running about on the beach. Use Splash Cannon to try and hit as much Red monsters in clusters for more points. Move the target marker using WASD and fire water bombs using the left mouse button.
Get 50 points when you hit a Large Red monster, 25 points for hitting a Small Red monster and you 3 points when you hit Blue monsters.
QHP Note: Although Chelton says you will get point deduction if you hit Blue monsters, we didn't notice any deductions.
QHP Note: There are two Splash Cannon Battery in the event area. Chelton's on Boan Strand Beach and Zaith's on Kerozen Isle Beachfront. We have no idea why the developers created 2 splash cannons and only introduce only one. But maybe Zaith was placed there because it is a lot closer to Ramsay's tavern and it makes it easier for people to collect the horns, and deliver without hogging the mini-game for other people who only want to finish the splash cannon game for the event quest.
☆ Mini-Games Ranking and Rewards ☆
- ♦ Players Ranking 4 with 499 points and below get 1 Prime Battle Solution and 10 Silver Coins.
- ♦ Players Ranking 3 with 500 - 699 points get 1 Prime Battle Solution, 1 Horn Statue and 30 Silver Coins.
- ♦ Players Ranking 2 with 700 - 999 points get 2 Prime Battle Solution, 1 Horn Statue. and 40 Silver Coins.
