TERA Online: Avatar Weapon Relic Levels, Shard Tiers and Location

Avatar Weapons are special weapons that can be crafted by collecting a number of relic pieces. Each Avatar Weapon has its own required relic pieces in order to be crafted/acquired.

With the recent "Fate of Arun" patch update, major changes to equipment tiers have been implemented.
according to Tera EU: patch-notes-29.03 Fate of Arun:

Tiers of equipment items have been combined:

• Old Tier 1-5: new Tier 1 (4 Alkahests/Spellbinds required)
• Old Tier 6-9: new Tier 2 (8 Alkahests/Spellbinds required)
• Old Tier 10-12: new Tier 3 (12 Alkahests/Spellbinds required)
• Old Tier 13-14: new Tier 4 (14 Alkahests/Spellbinds required)
• Old Tier 15: new Tier 5 (15 Alkahests/Spellbinds required)
• New Tier 6 (16 Alkahests/Spellbinds required)

Required number of relic pieces to craft have also been updated/changed.
Amarun's Relic now requires 19 pieces, instead of 36 pieces to craft.
Gidd's Relic now requires 21 pieces, instead of 38 pieces to craft.
Kara's Relc now requires 17 pieces, instead of 30 pieces to craft.
Dagon's Relic now requires 13 pieces, instead of 20 pieces to craft.

Ishara's Relic Piece and Oriyn's Relic Piece are also given as rewards for completing lv60+ story quests.

For lv60 characters, Instead of Godly Alkahests and Refined Godly Alkahests, Tier 4 Alkahests now drop from monsters. Weapon shards have also been replaced with Tier 4 Feedstock.
Same looting rules still apply, Alkahests and Feedstock that drop for your character can only be picked up by your character. The same is true for alkahests and feedstock for your partymates and other players.

Due to the introduction of Dagon's Relic, there has been a few changes to Kara's Relic and Gidd's Relic.
Gidd's Weapon required 54 pieces to craft before, now it has been lowered to 38 pieces.
Kara's Weapon can now be equipped at lv55 (changed from lv56).
Kara's Relic pieces now drops from lv54-58 (formerly lv54-59).


QHP note 1: Avatar Relic pieces drop randomly from monsters you hunt. The list on the tooltip tells you possible drop locations for that certain relic. Equivalent weapon shards also drop from the same location as its avatar relic pieces. For example: Isren's weapon shards will drop along with Isren's relic pieces.

Possible drop locations: Fey Forest, Oblivion Woods, Valley of Titans, Tuwangi Mire, Celestial Hills, Cliffs of Insanity, Vale of the Fang, Paraanon Ravine .

16~24 - Isren's Relic | Tier 1 (weapon lv20) Rare | 10 pieces to craft

Possible drop location: Oblivion Woods, Valley of Titans, Tuwangi Mire, Celestial Hills, Bastion of Lok, Cliffs of Insanity, Vale of the Fang, Paraanon Ravine old : Tier 4 .

24~30 - Elinu's Relic | Tier 1 (weapon lv26) Rare | 8 pieces to craft

Possible drop location: Celestial Hills, Bastion of Lok, Cliffs of Insanity, Vale of the Fang, Paraanon Ravine, Freeholds, Tenebrous Mines, Basilisk Crag, Sinestral Manor, Ascension Valley, Jagged Coast, Mistmoor Island old : Tier 5 .

30~36 - Tithus's Relic | Tier 2 (weapon lv32) Rare | 14 pieces to craft

Possible drop locations: Vale of the Fang, Paraanon Ravine, Freeholds, Tenebrous Mines, Basilisk Crag, Sinestral Manor, Ascension Valley, Jagged Coast, Mistmoor Island, Eldritch Academy Grounds, Lake of Tears, Colossal Ruins, Aurum Road, Dark Cathedral, Cultist's Refuge old : Tier 6

36~42 - Amarun's Relic | Tier 2 (weapon lv38) Rare | 19 pieces to craft

62~ - Oriyn's Relic | Tier 4 (weapon lv62) Superior | 15 pieces to craft

Possible drop locations: Savage Reach, Spring Valley, Ex Prima, Arx Umbra, Highwatch, Sabex Armory .

64~ - Bahaar's Relic | Tier 4 (weapon lv64) Superior | 10 pieces to craft

Possible drop locations: Savage Reach, Spring Valley, Ex Prima, Arx Umbra, Highwatch, Sabex Armory, Macellarius Catacombs .

QHP observation 1: Monsters would sometimes drop two different relic pieces relative to what Avatar relic weapons you currently have in your avatar weapon tab. The image below shows a monster dropping 2 different relic pieces because the character already have both Avatar weapons registered on the weapon tab. Both tiers of Avatar Weapon also drop from the same location.

QHP observation 2: Once you successfully create/acquire your Avatar Weapon, the relics will no longer drop and weapon shards for that tier will have a very low drop rate .
